Facilities

The facilities are designed and decorated to a high standard. The recent complete refurbishment ensures a spacious, light and airy environment.

Twenty Single En-suite Bedrooms

All bedrooms are unique and several have unspoiled views of the sea.

Ground floor

This is the most popular level for our family of residents and thankfully is well designed and spacious. There are three main lounge areas on the ground level:-

1. The main lounge / dining room

This is large enough to seat all residents if necessary. It has an east window view over-looking the sea and at the west end of the room French windows leading to the patio area (enclosed). This room is often the hub of the Home and has a welcoming café style atmosphere. There are two other dining areas in the Home which are used regularly so that dining can be a stress free enjoyable event.

2. Soap opera lounge

This is cosy and friendly and able to seat approximately five residents watching soap operas, shows etc.

3. The large cinema style room with library

This has comfortable seating for six to seven residents watching a large cinema style TV and a good DVD player facility. There is an ever-increasing library of books in the same room. This is a quality room with a quiet disposition where catnaps are not uncommon during the day.

Middle Floor  

On the middle floor there are two rooms for recreational use:-

•  Room with a pool table, which again is a large sized room, and overlooks the sea. This is a good room for communal games or resident meetings.

•  There is a quiet room for contemplation, prayer, counseling, private studies, CPA's etc.

Top Floor

 On the top floor there is a rehabilitation style kitchen diner, which is an excellent facility with exceptional sea views. This is a well-used room for younger adults to plan activities, socialise and relax, listening to music and enjoying newspapers.

Summary of facilities  

Well designed with generous proportions. As described, the lounge space and the design enhance the Home and allow residents to enjoy the ‘feel good factor.' It is a great environment for our residents and nobody ever needs to feel congested or frustrated by others. There is always plenty of space and many rooms to enjoy the variety of activities. The free movement within the home allows folks to meet and talk in a variety of function rooms.
